You bet...
@Traxx: Sorry for the OT... But hey, con pins usually ranges from 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm... Atleast those are the specs mostly available here in Manila...

sir X so you think installing stroker pins will last? i mean for long travel like what me and traxxas usually do...

Compared to the longevity of the stock? Definitely not... Sooner or later problem will arise... Vibration and the half bearing will absolutely wear out... If you're into touring and not for drag, just consider bore up option for additional displacement and avoid stroking up... Remember, T135 is an over square engine packed w/ stroke...

sir what your trying to say here is that the stroker wont be the main problem, even if installed properly because as youve mentioned above the half bearing will be the main source of problem, cause ive seen good stroker pins and even offsets were made from titanium, can we possibly use a good quality half bearings? FAG/ibc? then will it be possible for touring then? just a wild imagination sir... hehehehe watcha think?

Sorry, I should have made my response more concise... Vibration consideration is given factor on any engine... Half Bearing (Stroker/Connecting Pin Bearing not Side/Crank Bearing) will wear out sooner or later like a time bomb ticking to explode at the right time but it is not the main issue we're concerned with, the Con Pin will definitely loosen from its' place (why? think outside the box) after long rides, races and hard riding will DEFINITELY take its' toll on that setting and will probably twist to the opposite direction, hence, valve hits the piston , valve gets bend, piston could be damaged etc etc etc... What is really the big deal on Connecting Pin if youre into touring or daily use? We're just actually asking for more power and added displacement yes? Drag + Offset Con Pin = Yes, Touring/Daily Use + Offset Con Pin = Hell No! What's you're objective for installing that part by the way?

I dont think you wanna spend a fortune for dynamic balancing procedures just to ride your bike like a freakin mad man for touring purposes... Even a dynamically balanced engine has an absolute risk of offset con pin failing...

ok sir got your point here... we just wanna ride mad t135's on touring... hehehehehe.... the only half bearing commonly sold on the market are those made by hispeed. and i dont think it will survive a long ride... sir how about pin2pin? move the stock pin on the crank? i dont know how to explain it but this is another wild imagination of mine... will it be possible? use stock pin and move it just above the stock hole in the crank shaft? hehehehehe...

@traxxas
bro i dont think i will be stroking up my bike.. maybe after i conquer the entire philippines with my t135 maybe thats the perfect time for stroking up... hehehehe

You mean moving the connecting pin further to the far end circumference of the crank? Yes, as far Im concerned that kind of setting is no longer an unknown mod... The advantage is you get to use a straight pin instead of stroker pin w/ the same effect or performance w/o the risk of twisting to the opposite direction but the down side is financially related because you have to reset the position of the connecting pin then drill hole for the connecting pin insertion, then you have to build up the previous hole, then you have to dynamically have the crank balanced and there will be tons of drillings to the crank to rebalance the crank... After these being said, will you still go for it? Again, what is the objective? Race? Then damn it, yeah go for it bro... Touring? Add displacement/power through your bore size and other stuff like lightening (always consider power to weight ratio as well), perfect cam for your setting etc... Or to simplify take these factors into consideration: Carburetion Setting, Ignition Setting, Mechanical Configuration (Head Settings, Final Drive (sprocket setting), Transmission and other safer modification bro... Dont immediately jump onto tedious and risky configuation, trust me man...

there are 2mm,3mm n here someplace in Malaysia..they install 7mm n 72mm piston...for drag purpose only...hehehe..

1 question to u traxxss...
some say the stroker pin didnt last .n may experience broken engine etc..
but instead of install a stroker pin..can we just install a longer conrod??(if there available)

(i dont know the size of stock conrod),let say install another conrod that simply added 2mm ++..n install a stroker pin gasket...

can??

long connecting rod is useless if you dont change your stroke of your conrad :):) peace

Boss traxx i have a experience for the stroker pin for the T135 size 2mm
bec. my co. rider T135 we have tour in Baguio before. but my co. rider t35 or one of my fren thay broke the engine along the marcos highway. and we check the engine no oil inside>?

boss traxx can you pls give an ideas why the engine stroker mOd. not advisable for the T135 touring Bike. but boss Traxx the engine stroker mod it very Fast than the stock T135.
ive got a 2mm stroker and and used it in the mindanao ride total k's is about 1500kms and there was no problem at all but im always checking my oil tho... and filled up 200ml.. hehehe! if you got modified engine you always have to check oil and water... coz we dont kno what's gonna happen. and less xpence... cheers!

|I think what X project trying to point out is , if your need is for touring purposes only, just use oversize bore like vxion, yoshi or cmr...but if you want to set it up as a full race version and still want to add more displacement con pin is the way to go....and just a reminder...anything modified to exceed its original intention usually doesn't exceed to its expected lifespan...just my 2 cents.. :p
