How To Check Regulator/rectifier If Broken

maybe its probably your rectifier is not working properly or your battery has a deffect. try to install a new rectifier if your battery still discharging its your battery OR your lc4v has a grounded wire.

Owh.ok thx for answer..but how to check the rectifier and battery?

Can i measure voltage when engine still (on) with no battery?

yes you can but the problem you said is your battery getting discharge. its better to have a volt meter install so you can monitor the charging of the battery or much better if you visit your trusted electricial for diagnosis. coz there are several factors why your battery is discharging, grounded wire busted rectifier battery deffect etc. etc.. :)

hello rider..i change my battery last week (new)..after a few day..my battery lost power..why?? :(
You have problem on charging system ,check wiring on charging system, check rectifier& stator

with no battery measure the output of rectifier (red&black terminal) you should get more than 12volts DC at idle. Do not do this test at high rpm for longer period of time to prevent damage to the rectifier/regulator.

i try measure with multimeter select (DV Volt) get 12.4v in standby mode..after start the engine try measure get 11.9v..and engine start with no battery i get 11.9v..so what my problem?so tired to find the problem :(

for T.S , have you experienced the lights were being busted 1 by 1 . starting the headlight.

I just want to confirm if these measurement taken with battery still attached..
If voltage at battery decreases even your engine is running theres a problem with charging circuit. (wiring connection to battery, fuse and stator.

engine start with no battery i get 11.9v..so what my problem?so tired to find the problem:(
Try to replace your rectifier , if voltage at red and black terminal reads 14.5 to 15volts when rectifier replaced your rectifier is busted. (test done with disconnected battery)
If reading at dc voltmeter is the same , check the AC voltage at rectifer input terminal. Set your multimeter to ac volts then measure ac voltage at white ang black terminal of rectifier. reading should be about 16.5 volts. Take note this test is done with battery atteched or connected ,( can be done with battery disconnected but not tried)
Reading on this test using full wave rectifier is 18volts when battery is charging , reading of ac voltage at white and black terminal deacreases when battery voltage reach 14.5 volt.
nose bleed..hehehe:):)

try to check your stop light switch, maybe its not working well,,,your stop light bulb is always on,,,,thats one reason why your battery is always in low power
our stop light bulb is 21 watts enough to drain your battery in long period of time,i encountered this in some mc,,,, our stock rectifier is not stable in 12 volts to high rpm,it goes down to 12v only or 11.9v,in high rpm,try it to see what im saying,,clip the volt meter to negative and positive terminals,,,,try to rev the mc,and observe the volt meter, reading, slowly twist the throttle from low to high rpm,and see the volt reading

replace first your rectifier with known good rectifier, if voltage reading goes back to normal then problem solved.
excuse po ts.. sir thon can i a favor? sir in my case, my head light did not properly working, when i switch on to high beam no light (not working) on low beam is working. i encountered this problem after when i forgot to remove my battery before do some repair on my chassis (welding) what do you think sir..do i have to replace my bulb? or wiring problem? what shall i do now please help me to fix this problem..in advance thank u so much t135 family..

Check/verify first if your bulb (high beam) is busted.
Check also if your high beam indicator at speedometer lit when switch to high beam. If high beam indicator lit at speedometer , replace your headlight bulb.
Also consider checking headlight connector & socket.
