Material is Phenolic , the best material for heat insulation
Phenolic Spacers, with excellent insulating properties, high stiffness, and the ability to withstand 500+ degrees F
Advantages to this System are :
1. Reduces Heat soak / transfer from the engine into the intake manifold where a Manifold Divider Gasket is used
2. Throttle body spacers acheive the same result where most throttle bodies utilise hot water chokes and emmision controls.
3. The cooler manifold no longer heats the incoming air which allows increased ignition timing / tuning
4. This modification can be installed without visible signs and can retain factory new vehicle warranties
5. Can be cleaned and refitted multiple times
6. This is considered to be an extension of any Cold Air Induction kit fitted to your vehicle. Why pump cold air in only to be heated by the manifold.
Why do they Work :
1. For every 5 Degree reduction in tempature, increases the density of the air and therfore the power by 1%
2. The cooler the air, the more dense it is with a greater proportion of oxgyen molecules.
3. The more air your engien can ingest when it is cooler and denser, the more air to be mixed with fuel providing greater thermal efficiency
4. With the appropiate tuning, providing more power, fuel economy and most importantly, more reliability
