yamaha's made an innovative compression relief for 4-strokers wif 135cc n beyond. It'll really help so that the first successful compression stroke will be enuff to fire it up. But at some point it won't be sucking fuel as much and it just crank on without firing. That's why you need to use a choke at this point or juz the kickstart.

But, if your cranking up is terrible & very. very hard than suspect these two points ;
1. Your compression relief pin is hooked on to a weight on ur cam sproket. check to see if it's still hooked- mine broke.
2. Ur timing chain is not correctly set - it'll run but less performance & stutters.
Hope this'll help.

k, means blown gasket.
This would mean that you might be using paper for top gasket. My 60mm doesn,t come wif proper sized gasket but at first I installed using the original 54mm steel gasket wif no problems whatsoever.

Than as the 1st 3000kms go by, I opened the block again to check on the ring-piston-cylinder condition and CHANGED to paper-cut 0.4 gasket for the head assy.

Although retightening using torque wrench- the gasket blew from water jacket to cylinder chamber.

If 60mm block is used, the gap between water jacket and cylinder is only about 3mm and the paper is squeezed out when tightening the head. So, I re-used the steel gasket again till now.

You might save that rm160 by having friends around to look on it. BTW which shop did u send to.

With proper gasket, this won't happen. The water holes on the head must line up properly wif the cylinder's water jacket. Wif cyl guard installed it shudn't be a prob unless the holes they made are offset.. this wud easily blow the gasket cuz too thin.

However, most of the blocks sold through kom135 friends n wokshops are still happily running.

pm if u need to see those in running condition.
