185cc 63mm Malossi

Hey Guys just thought id share with you my new malossified bike :thumbsup:

My performance parts are:

63mm malossi
CMS 22in-19ex valves
Ported head
ported manifold
APPI valve springs
CMS Cam shaft (no decompression setup)
BRT dual band cdi
AHM pipe customized
Devil muffler (soon changing to a KTM muffler)
UNI air filter outer foam soaked in Air filter oil (i use to have K&N but when i saw my old piston obviously little bits of dust were getting sucked through)
Removed ASI system

My tappet clearance is
.010 in - 0.14ex
head bolts torqued down at 22nm (2.2 m.kg, 16ft.lb)

it goes awesome doesn't miss a beat, still being gentle havent really fully opened it up but i did see 105km in third gear with quiet a bit more to go I've only done about 150kms on it on SHELL fully synthetic ounce i do about 400-500kms ill see what its really capable of everything is still very fresh.

Tonight Changing Cam to a UMA high lift cam with decompression setup,
with the CMS cam 3rd gear about 110km 4th 125-130km and 5th gear pulling it right around to 145km+ could rev a bit more still but not really want to rev it to much harder, New Muffler bits still coming and Carb will be revealed soon!! I tried a FCR33mm Pumper carb but its to big and hits the starter motor, so i got something else!;)

Also i have a question:help: , does anyone know know whats the best sort of ignition coil, Hotwire, spark plug combination is and what sort of extra HP I would get out of it, if any? been looking at Nology full Ignition setup, at the moment im running complete stock ignition set up with a side gaped sparkplug, and i indexed my spark plug as well when my head was off.

Still running stock gearing dude? I'm jealous man, the roads here aren't good enough for those kinds of speeds. That and I get a little scared going more than 120km/h. Damn I'm getting old :oops:................

yea still the stock gearing 14/38 1st gear is way to short though they get pretty torquey at 185cc compared to 135cc, the roads are still pretty average here i just test the bike in the car lane there's a certain area where the roads actually alright and theres no intersections! Perfect;)
Yea thanks for that it was a fun project still got a whole lot more to do,.. and then probably actually next year ill do the crankshaft, got to save my money for my Big bikes now :D
your only ever as old as what you think you are, you need to come down to Vungtau for a ride and some Western foods that will liven you up a bit!;)

Instead of fitting my new Cam i modified my Exhaust system Sounds similar to My CRF450R now much better very Soft Deep Rumble and when you open it up it ROARS down the street! and with the encap pointing down it doesnt sound so loud well riding it , Tonight im doing the camshaft.....

still waiting on advice for a Ignition Setup:( !!

Any favorites yet? I as well spent a considerable amount of time changing out cams to find one that suits my needs and riding style. The joys of modding!;)

I've done quiet a few little changes well installing my UMA cam you sent me and haven't yet compared it to my dads Exciter (it's really good having 2 185cc exciter very easy to see results other wise you dont really know) the UMA cam pulls at a even higher revs again then my CMS cam,
also the Malossi cam is pretty awesome but i think UMA and CMS cams are better still.
I think CMS Is probably the best cam, the all over power is very strong top has very high revs the mid range is very powerful and even the low is very powerful it has the best of all worlds has very good Duration and its highlift with very wide lobes.
Only reason why i will just run with the UMA cam is cause of the Decompression setup which CMS doesn't have. If you could run the CMS cam on your 205cc i think you would be very happy with it:D !
But Performance wise i still have to test the UMA cam against my dads Exciter and see if I've made much of a difference under full open throttle.;)

also i might try finding some really highspeed bearings they dont last very long the made in Japan NSK ones:( !
