Super Veteran
Hei there Bro's!!
Iam having this problem ever since ive done modification..
Everytime aim on my hi rpm this redlight sudenly show up & it makes effect on my rev. ex;on 2nd gear i can reach 100km/h, but now on my early 90km/h the redlight apear, & it making a hard time to reach 100km/h.. it like a limiter on my wiring.. Im using Rextor cdi & racing valve springs.. i know this is not the so called-over heating.. coz it disapear when i shift gears & comes out again on hi rpm..

Any idea guys?.. :(

that may be a max RPM indicator. if your riding at hi rpm and then the light comes on, back off the throttle, if the light goes off, then that is what it is. In racing cars the RPM gauge has a red light indicating the max rpm the care should go before blowing the engine.

ok bro, try it see if that works

hmm weird..

Note: when we talk of red light, this is the red light (overheat indicator) on the panel/speedometer gauge.

first red light will only on if it senses a very high temperature.
because red light is overheat indicator

lets see and analyze

during high rpm, red light will on
when you release the throttle, red light off

my theory is this
-during high rpm, definitely temperature will increase
but when you release the throttle, it suddenly off the redlight.

there seems to be some air inside (bubbles of air) on your cooling system.
when you rev to high rpm, theres no or not enough water passing thru or lots of bubbles of air and few water are passing thru the
temp sensor thus increasing the temp on the temp sensor area
and turns the red on..

when you release the throttle, rpm goes down and water will go
through the sensor thus reducing the temp of the sensor which will result to
red light off.

thats what i can analyze,

the cooling system pump of our engine is synchronize with the rpm
of our engine. so high rpm, high water pumping pressure..
if theres bubbles of air, or theres a leak, pressure wont build up
to circulate the water inside the cooling system.

also post all your modifications so that we can help...
indicate if you ever cut or modified the wirings...

Hi,

Thats mean yr TPS connection are loose. Disconnect it and spray with WD40 and put it back firmly.

Its happened to me before.

Good luck..

Hey dong..
Your encountering a short circuit on your wire due to water flooding your wire... advice bro, check your wiring connection placed under your carb.
And do not use power spray instead use the shower mode when washing your byk.. :)

is your wirings fits well sir? because on hi rpm your cdi eats a lot of volts and seems like what you are saying is a voltage shortage that when your reach high rpm your cdi restarts that's why the red light will be on. try using another cdi brand and see what happen

I have the same problem with Neil888 regarding red light constantly turned on. Warning lights is in fault 3 and fault 1. I just check my thermo sensor's connectivity when heated I found out that it was broken (even if it's heated on the peak of boiling point it didn't have connection). I just put a switch on my fan just for band aid fix... I am now looking for replacement or how much is the Thermostat sensor on 3'S shop..or any possible counter part on 4 wheeled vehicles.

Any inputs, advice or recommendation is highly appreciated..More Speed Bros!
