Angel Eye Ballast Problem

Hi to all.

I'm having problem with my ordinary angel eye ballast not the projector one, it busted twice already. Both are new. It smells like burning. It starts busting out when I run my motorcycle. What might be the problem?

My motorcycle is sniper MX, where should I tap the wire? Thanks.

where did you tap the positive wire of your angel eye?... if your ballast keeps on busting maybe you taped its positive wire to the wrong wire (Y/R). it should be tap to the brown wire (Br) or to the battery/ignition line.
is your bike is battery operated? Before using LED's or angel eye, You should convert your electrical from stator to battery operated (imho)... hope it helps ;)
note: do not modify your electrical if your bike is still under warranty.. it could void the warranty..:)

Thanks for the quick reply bro, I tapped it on the yellow wire, oh it should be on the brown wire. My bike is battery operated already. :)

are you in HID headlight? fast charge setting? if it is, maybe your supply voltage is too high for the LED to handle...

thats why your angel eye ballast always busted, the y/r wire where you taped the angel eye is from our stator, voltage that comes out from the stator is varying specially when you rev up your engine and the voltage that comes out from the stator will going higher and your angel eye cannot handle the voltage. Huh! Nose bleed! Sorry for my bad english:)

thats the wrong wire(Y/R), papabol @gie is correct. tap it to the brown wire or tap it directly to the battery with relay if you can:thumbsup:. In which Relay activated by your park/auxiliary lights switch.
