Alarm System

need help :/ i was wondering if it is possible for alarms to work if they are not directly connected to the battery? because my friend once told me that alarms are usually connected directly to the battery right? but his friend can install the alarm without connecting the alarm directly to the battery.. im just asking if it is possible.. the shops i asked regarding this told me that it must be connected directly to the battery..

I think this will only be possible if there is some sort of mechanical initiating device that will connect the alarm to the power supply due to vibration or by tilting but usually sensors need supply even at standby. Just my opinion..

hhmm, am not quite sure if there is an alarm system with a built in battery that can power up a relay to trigger the alarm. But im not quite sure.. If there is. so its possible.

in an alarm system today in philippines market like v-safe, cylclone it need a power supply directly to trigger the alarm once the power supply is cut or remove the motorcycle can be started even the alarm system is on mode during the removing of the battery and when you plug the battery the alarm will at off position again..

in the car alarm system even if you remove the battery during the alarm system is on it will not start the engine even you will start it buy pushing due to the mechanical inside the module the even without power it will remain in alarm mode.. when when power or battery is plug the alarm system will trigger and sounds.. this is my opinion and experince in both vehicle

my alarm is already installed and hell it feels good to have one my mistake, i thought the mechanic/electrician would not directly connect it to the battery because my friend told me that some can do that and his friend (the one who installed my alarm) can ..

Nice to know that sir. Base on my experience with alarm system (burglar and fire) all detectors / sensors must have continuous supply.

what do you mean by continuous supply? sorry im a bit new to this :/ but nxt month im planning to install hid and mini hid together with a CDI.. i dont know if thats what u mean

I must say it's proper to say active power source like battery in order for the alarm system to stay armed.
